Website privacy

A little privacy.

What this website remembers, and what stays in your browser.

01 What this page remembers

The playground uses this browser’s local storage for notes, tasks, timers, layout, preferences and an earned trial pass. These are not synced to a website account. Refreshing returns to the main scene while keeping that saved content.

02 Files you choose

The Files preview displays files you select or drop into it locally. Its file contents are not uploaded by the preview. Those temporary previews clear when you reload.

03 Requests from the page

The page loads its fonts, images, videos and scripts from this website. The download button checks this website’s release information. If analytics is configured, the page sends two explicit kinds of events to PostHog: page views and clicks on a published Mac installer. These events contain a fresh random visit identifier, a fixed page category, the environment and, for installer clicks, the app version. They do not contain the page address, search or referrer, notes, tasks, file contents or other playground content. We disable person profiles, automatic capture, session replay and IP location enrichment. PostHog still receives the connection from your IP address. This visit identifier is not linked to the native app.

04 Your controls

You can reset the playground in the questions section. To remove all saved website data, clear this site’s storage in your browser. Use Display preferences in the footer to pause motion. Analytics respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control; sharing stays disabled while either browser control is active. Turning sharing off below cancels pending requests and saves your choice in this browser; it does not delete events already received by PostHog.

05 The Chrome extension

If you install the Embel Chrome extension, it connects the Chrome profile you choose to the Embel app on the same Mac. When you explicitly ask Embel to help with a page, the extension may use the selected page’s visible content, structure, form state or a screenshot to complete and verify that browser task. It is designed to stay quiet until you ask it to help, and it is not used for advertising.

Task context is sent to the Embel app locally and may be passed to the AI provider you select in Embel when needed for the task. The extension stores connection and recovery details in Chrome storage, not a general browsing-history database. You can stop active work from the extension popup, disconnect Chrome in Embel, or remove the extension from chrome://extensions. See the detailed Chrome extension privacy policy for the full list of information handled and retention details.

06 The native app

The privacy scene illustrates native-app controls. It does not grant this webpage access to your screen, microphone or other apps. Information about the website here is separate from the Mac app’s data handling.
